SOME STUFF ABOUT SANDY
Sandy is a funny, sarcastic stand-up comedian who loves puppies, penny-slots, and anything with frosting.
She grew up in Milpitas (don’t be JEALOUS) and did midday radio in San Jose for 10 years before getting "the opportunity of a lifetime” here at Star 101.3. While she loves making listeners laugh every morning, she admits that waking up before Starbucks is even open "just isn’t right."
Sandy has completed the Nike Women’s Marathon twice (run-walked….which means walked), hosted red-carpet interviews for Nickelodeon’s TV Land Awards, worked comedy clubs like the San Francisco Punchline and Riviera Las Vegas, and most importantly; bowled a perfect 300 at age 15. She then used her bowling scholarship money to pay for her tuition at Ohlone College in Fremont. This bio gets sexier by the minute.
Sandy's future goals include traveling the world, becoming a philanthropist, and working as a late-night talk show host. In the meantime, she’s just trying to wake up when her alarm clock goes off at 4am.

SOME STUFF ABOUT FROSTY
Frosty is a seasoned radio veteran, having hosted shows in nearly every radio format for more than thirty years. Before joining the Star 101.3 morning show, Frosty enjoyed an enormously successful decade hosting one of the most popular talk shows in Los Angeles. Before that, the ‘90s found him in Denver and Milwaukee doing morning talk radio. In the ‘80s he woke up morning radio listeners in Milwaukee, Louisville, Indianapolis, Omaha, and Grand Rapids. Originally from the Midwest, he entertained radio audiences in Indiana for several years early in his career. But Frosty has been happy to call California home since 1998.
An accomplished musician, Frosty owns a professional recording & broadcast studio back in LA. He has recorded extensively as a professional keyboardist, including recording session work for other artists in Los Angeles. As a singer/songwriter and keyboardist, as well as music producer for others, music has been a second career through the years.
Perhaps surprisingly, Frosty is a certified teacher for K-12. However, broadcasting turned out to be his calling. A world traveler, he has spent time in over 30 countries, and every state in the USA. Ireland is like another home where he tries to visit at least once a year, and he is part owner of a pub there. His hobbies include creative writing, with a book in progress. His love and care for animals is widely known and dogs carry a special place in his heart. And in an obscure note, it is rumored there isn’t a person alive who can beat him in 1970’s music trivia.
You can hear Frosty bantering with cohost Sandy Stec weekday mornings 6-10am on Star 101.3, where he brings his insights and commentary to the world of morning radio. They always have a good time keeping the topics of the day fun and interesting, while enjoying the best music of the 80s, 90s and today.
